Tengo todo revuelto y patas arriba en el plano personal y en lo que menos pienso es en el blog, pero ahora (cuando lo publique ya veremos) tengo un rato y voy aprovechar que tenía hecha la plantilla de la entrada desde el anterior libro para comentar algo, aunque no significa que vuelvo a poner esto en marcha como si tal cosa, porque no es así.

De alguna manera u otra encuentro el tiempo de seguir con la Torre Oscura y es que siempre me han gustado las sagas y el ir con personajes ya familiares, pasando por sus penurias, e incluso alegrías. Pero aquí, de todas cosas que encontramos, alegrías pocas serán.

En esta quinta parte, aparte de las referencias populares y las auto referencias, hasta el punto de la metaliteratura y desdibujar la linea entre ficción y mente de escritor, lo que tenemos es un homenaje, de nuevo al western y en particular a “Los 7 magníficos/Los 7 samurais” tal y como reconoce el propio King.

Callahan

El Ka-tet de Roland, Jake, Sussanah, Eddie y Acho ayudará a una población a enfrentarse con unos tipos llamados los Lobos que aparecen una vez por generación y se llevan a uno de cada pareja de mellizos y gemelos (hay pocos que no sean parejas de hijos) y los devuelven tiempo después destrozados mental y físicamente.

En ese pueblo, habita otro personaje de nuestro universo conocido como es el Padre Callahan, de Salem’s Lot y será parte fundamental de la historia que ocurre y de la que vendrá.

La saga sigue y me sigue interesando y aun con las diferencias de estilos de cada libro, sigue siendo un viaje placentero y disfrutable. Solo espero que algún día se animen con la serie, porque viendo The Walking Dead, realmente no habría tantas diferencias, al fin y al cabo el Ka-tet de Roland es uno de muchos.

  1. Me alegra volver a verte, aunque sea temporalmente, y que sea por caminar con esos Lobos del Calla (uno de los libros que más tiempo he esperado en mi vida, por culpa del cabrito de King).

    Sin duda es un buen libro.. Por cierto que me ha gustado esa similitud que has hecho entre el tet de Roland y el de Rick.

    Espero que todo ese revoltijo del que hablas vaya acomodándose poco a poco.

Te sigo desde hace muuucho tiempo y por cosas llevaba sin leer el blog algunos meses, espero que tu parón sea pasajero porque siempre disfruto de tus entradas y leo los libros que tu lees, seria una Pena no poder seguir tu estela de lectura o criticas de cualquier tipo. Siempre se agradece en este mundillo gente como tu

    • Muchas gracias por leerme de largo tiempo. Yo creo que el parón ya esta terminado, porque se me acumulan algunas entradas incluso para publicar. No se si podré seguir el ritmo anterior al parón, pero por aquí seguiré.

      Ando sin tiempo para leer tanto, pero ya te adelanto que aparte de terminar la torre oscura, le echare un ojo a “El Rumor de los Muertos” de Enrique Laso, que estaba muy baratito en digital y trae buenas y lovecraftianas referencias.
